Programming is the process of designing, writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining the source code of computer programs. This code can be written in a variety of computer programming languages. Some of these languages include Java, C, and Python. Computer code is a collection of typed words that the computer can clearly understand. Just as a human translator might translate from the English language to Spanish, the computer interprets these words as ones and zeros. We as humans use programming languages, instead of writing directly in ones and zeros, so we can easily write and understand the computer code and can organize it. We can think of the different lines of our code as being individual instructions that we give to the computer. The computer follows these instructions explicitly to execute our written code.

Computer programming is a process that leads from an original formulation of a computing problem to executable programs. It involves activities such as analysis, understanding, and generically solving such problems resulting in an algorithm, verification of requirements of the algorithm including its correctness and its resource consumption, implementation (commonly referred to as coding[1][2]) of the algorithm in a target programming language. Source code is written in one or more programming languages (such as C, C++, C#, Java,, Mysql,PHP,JavaScript, etc.). The purpose of programming is to find a sequence of instructions that will automate performing a specific task or solve a given problem. The process of programming thus often requires expertise in many different subjects, including knowledge of the application domain, specialized algorithms and formal logic.
